CHERRI SCHNAUTZ
FOUNDER OF WELLNESS & WOMEN
62.
A life well lived has as many meanings as the number of women in our world.
Cherri conceived Wellness and Women to support women who seek a more balanced life for personal well being.
Wellness and Women will encourage a woman to own her strengths, talents, and wisdom and to support her defined personal values in life. The cornerstone of whole health is to embrace these values throughout the facets of life with a resilient attitude.
Cherri has come to an awareness that women accumulate many roles in their lifetime. She has observed that some of the personal and professional roles may be gender related, culturally constructed, and follow societal norms. On the other hand, Cherri has seen within recent decades women may choose a non-traditional path that steps out of the box. The roles for an aging woman may involve a traditional retirement at a culturally acceptable age, or raising grandchildren, traveling, volunteering, extending professional work years, or, as Cherri has begun, transition into work that has a personal meaning to serve others. Whatever role a woman chooses, Cherri feels it is an impermanent complex system where whole health could be compromised.
She has accumulated several roles herself that span from professional careers, a wife, a mother, a homemaker, a single woman and now, the birth of Wellness and Women. She placed a priority on the role of motherhood and feels this work has had a profound impact on humankind. Cherri has a passion to live life with resiliency and a zest for a beautiful life of whole health. Her belief is that good health is a gift in life. She would like to help women restore, maintain, and preserve this gift.
The part can never be well unless the whole is well.
